Nassourdine Imavov Fights Hard But Drops Decision
4 years agoNassourdine Imavov (9-3) had his moments throughout the contest on Saturday, nearly putting Phil Hawes in dire straights. Imavov actually received a draw on one judge's card, but the two other judges went 29-28 in Hawes' favor. Through 15 minutes of action, Imavov landed 57 significant strikes (87 total strikes) and did not attempt any takedowns. Hawes secured four of seven takedown tries, which could have helped swing the tied in his favor. Imavov showed he is not a striker to sleep on and will absolutely bounce back from this contest. Keep an eye on his future salary and matchup.
