Narciso Crook Goes 2-For-3 In MLB Debut
2 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Narciso Crook made his MLB debut in Thursday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. He entered the game in the fifth inning as a pinch-hitter for Rafael Ortega and went on to have a great day at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Crook was called up from Triple-A prior to the game while fellow outfielder Jason Heyward (knee) was placed on the injured list. The 26-year-old Crook has slashed .268/.375/.510 with nine home runs, 11 stolen bases, 27 RBI and 34 runs at Triple-A this year. There's a good chance he won't be in the majors long, but it was nice to see him produce in his first opportunity in the big leagues.
