Myles Straw Experiencing Side Effects From COVID Vaccine
4 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Myles Straw will be held out of Wednesday's game against Austin Gomber and the Colorado Rockies. According to Astros manager Dusty Baker, Straw is dealing with side effects from the COVID-19 vaccine. Straw should be considered day-to-day at this point with a chance of missing Thursday's series opener against the Los Angeles Angels as well. Straw has been the team's primary center fielder so far this year. While he's sidelined, Chas McCormick is likely to fill in. Straw is still trying to get it going from the plate this year. Through 16 games, he's slashing .200/.262/.200 with no extra-base hits and only four runs. He does have three stolen bases though.
