2 years agoBaltimore Orioles relief pitcher Mychal Givens (knee) resumed throwing from flat ground on Thursday. The right-hander is working his way back from left knee soreness. The injury continues to linger which puts his status for Opening Day in jeopardy. The fact Givens has resumed throwing is a good sign, but he still has more work to do. The 32-year-old signed a one-year deal with the O's over the offseason. He should serve as a late-inning option and extra insurance as a closer in case Felix Bautista goes down at some point.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
