2 years agoChicago Cubs relief pitcher Mychal Givens is headed to the New York Mets. The two sides have agreed on a trade that will send Givens to New York and pitcher Saul Gonzalez to the Cubs. Givens is posting a 2.66 ERA with two saves and 51/19 K/BB ratio through 40.7 innings in Chicago. This move helps bolster the Mets bullpen as they continue to fight for a playoff spot. He should continue to work in high leverage spots, but his fantasy value isn't expected to change. Gonzalez has pitched well in St. Lucie this season, but isn't someone who is near MLB ready.
