MLB Season Could Be Pushed Back To Memorial Day
5 years agoThere's a possibility that the 2020 Major League Baseball season could be delayed until Memorial Day weekend or even longer due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, according to two MLB executives. Players, executives and coaching staffs have started to head home from their respective spring training facilities. It's unlikely that a full 162-game schedule will be played this year as a result of this delay. Once players and teams are allowed to reconvene, players will likely require at least another two weeks of spring training, which will push the start of the regular season back even further. The delay of the regular season shouldn't negatively affect any player's fantasy value, but it does benefit those injured players that wouldn't have been ready for Opening Day before the delay.
