In the aftermath of J.P. Crawford fracturing his left hand after getting hit on it Tuesday night, the Philadelphia Phillies went to the minor leagues to fill his voided roster spot. Infielder Mitch Walding, who already had a brief stint in the majors at the end of May and beginning of June, was once again promoted and even made an appearance in Wednesday’s victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. The 25-year-old would strike out in his only plate appearance, making that seven strikeouts in seven plate appearances this season. In 61 games at Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season, Walding hit .259 with nine home runs and 37 RBI. He has no fantasy relevance for now.--RDelgado

Seattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford is hitting in the leadoff spot for Wednesday's series finale against the division-rival Los Angeles Angels and left-hander Tyler Anderson at T-Mobile Park. Crawford has made it all the way up to leadoff this week after hitting in the nine-hole in his first 26 starts of 2025. The Mariners moved him up to sixth the previous two games. The 30-year-old veteran has earned the move up the batting order, as he carries an eight-game hitting streak into Wednesday's finale against the Halos. During the streak, he's gone 12-for-29 with two home runs, eight RBI, seven runs scored and five walks to raise his season line to .279/.415/.372 in 108 plate appearances. It remains to be seen how long Crawford will get run in the top spot, but it will make him more attractive in DFS on Wednesday, even against a lefty. He's hit .273 with two RBI in 11 career at-bats against Anderson.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Seattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford went 2-for-3 with a home run in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Miami Marlins. He added two RBI, two runs scored, one walk, and one strikeout. The veteran connected on a two-run blast in the bottom of the fifth inning -- his second of the season -- off Miami reliever Ronny Henriquez that would put Seattle up 7-2 and prove the winning run as the Marlins mounted a late comeback. Crawford has been much better this season than he was in an abysmal 2024. He's not hitting for much power, and that includes extra-base hits (two doubles), but the average is there, and he's getting on base at a robust clip (.412 OBP). While his spot in the lineup is a detriment to his counting stats, he should still be a nice help, average-wise. Crawford is riding a seven-game hit streak with four multi-hit outings during the stretch.--Alex Ciulla

Seattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford had a load lifted off his shoulders on Wednesday, as he went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and a walk in Wednesday's 8-5 win over the Boston Red Sox. Crawford blasted a three-run shot in the top of the fourth inning to give the Mariners a 4-0 lead. It was his first home run of the year. The 30-year-old added an RBI single in the seventh inning, giving him a total of four RBI on the night. It's been a tough go for the 30-year-old veteran, who now has a .246 AVG and .714 OPS, with 11 runs, one homer, 10 RBI, and one steal. While he has been heating up in the last week, he still doesn't need to be rostered outside of the deepest leagues.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller

Seattle Mariners outfielder Randy Arozarena and shortstop J.P. Crawford are both taking the day off on Thursday in the series finale against the division-rival Oakland Athletics at the Oakland Coliseum. Victor Robles will start in left field and bat leadoff, while Leo Rivas will make the start at the 6 and bat ninth against A's right-hander Joey Estes. This will be just Arozarena's second day off with Seattle since they acquired him at the end of July from the Rays. He's been a bit better in Seattle than he was in Tampa earlier this year, batting .238 (29-for-122) with three homers and 12 RBI in his 34 games played. Crawford, meanwhile, has a hit in each of his last two games but has gone 2-for-24 with five strikeouts in seven games since returning from an IL stint on Aug. 28. Robles has been a new hitter since joining the M's and will be a nice sleeper target in DFS in the leadoff spot on Thursday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
