Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner remains day-to-day after suffering a lower-body injury during a 4-1 loss to the Boston Bruins on March 7. The winger was able to finish the game but did not practice on Monday and also missed Saturday's 3-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens. "Mitch is day-to-day, unlikely to play on Thursday," Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe said, "We think this time is important for him, but day-to-day from that point." The 26-year-old is in the midst of another big season, tallying 25 goals and 76 points in 62 games while putting forth a plus-20 rating in his 21:20 of average ice time per game. Defenseman Jake McCabe also was absent from Monday's practice, while Mark Giordano was a full participant for the first time since suffering a concussion on Feb. 29.--Brenton KempRead More News
