Mitch Haniger Hits 10th Home Run Friday
4 months agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger collected a pair of hits in Friday's 10-2 win over the Phillies, going 2-for-4 with his 10th home run of the season. The 33-year-old also scored twice in the contest. After coming into the season healthy and returning to his old team, there was hope that the veteran could rekindle some of the magic that allowed him to hit 39 home runs and drive in 100 as he did back in 2021, but that has not come to fruition. This was Haniger's first multi-hit game since June 14, and the former All-Star hit just .159 in July, rationed just 44 at-bats during the month. Hopefully this performance will spark a hot streak, just don't count on it.
