Mitch Garver Avoids Serious Injury
Mitch Garver (ribs) underwent precautionary X-rays on Tuesday to determine the severity of his injury. The 32-year-old slugger was removed from Monday's game after getting hit by a pitch in the ribs. Luckily, it sounds like Garver has avoided serious injury. The X-rays revealed that Garver avoided any fractures to his ribs. The hope is that Garver will be ready in time for Game 1 of the World Series. The slugging catcher has been a significant contributor for this lineup during the postseason.
