Mike Wallace Suffers Broken Leg
6 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver Mike Wallace (leg) broke his fibula in Week 2 against the Buccaneers and "will miss the next few weeks," according to head coach Doug Pederson. The team will not place Wallace on Injured Reserve for now while they do more tests. Typically this is an injury that would end your season, but the Eagles might just be waiting for more details. We don't expect Wallace to be back in a couple of weeks, and you can likely drop him already in most leagues. He has zero catches on three targets this season. In his absence, Nelson Agholor becomes an even stronger option with quarterback Carson Wentz (knee) returning in Week 3, at least until Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) is back. Shelton Gibson, Kamar Aiken and Deandre Carter must all step up behind Agholor until Jeffery returns. Tight end Zach Ertz will also continue to be heavily targeted and is an elite TE1.
