Mike Trout Strains Groin Tuesday Night
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout left the game early on Tuesday night with a right groin strain. The team is listing him as day-to-day. He had two singles in two plate appearances with a run scored before departing. The 27-year-old superstar is hitting an absurd .406/.592/.938 with five home runs, eight runs scored, 12 RBI and a stolen base in 49 plate appearances this year. It'd be a devastating blow for the Angels and fantasy owners if Trout needed a 10-day injured list stint. It's also fair to wonder if his groin injury will keep him from running. Peter Bourjos replaced Trout in center field and would likely start there if Trout is forced to miss any time.
