Mike Trout Out Wednesday
6 years agoAfter suffering a groin injury Tuesday night, Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout will sit out Wednesday night's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. The 27-year-old recorded two hits Tuesday before exiting in the fourth inning with the groin injury. While it was announced that he wouldn't need an MRI and subsequently would not be placed on the injured list, the Angels are wisely giving him at least one day off. Trout, fresh off the richest contract in North American sports history, is hitting .406 with five home runs and 12 RBI in the early stages of the 2019 season. Brian Goodwin will start in center for the Angels.
