Mike Trout Goes Deep In Loss To Colorado
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk, and three strikeouts in a 7-4 loss to the Colorado Rockies on Friday. Trout went back-to-back with Shohei Ohtani in the top of the fifth inning to give the Halos a 4-2 lead. Unfortunately for Los Angeles, they wouldn't score the rest of the evening en route to a loss. The home run was Trout's only hit and he struck out three more times in this one, which gives him 90 on the season. That puts him on pace to break his career-worst mark of 184 that he set back in 2014. He's also batting just .250, which is much lower than what we've come to expect from the 31-year-old. He owns a .832 OPS to go along with 16 home runs, 40 RBI, and one stolen base across 272 at-bats on the year.
