Mike Soroka Won't Pitch Again This Year
6 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Mike Soroka (shoulder) will not pitch in a game again this year, and manager Brian Snitker said the best-case scenario is that Soroka pitches in the instructional league and then has a normal offseason. Soroka is one of the team's better young pitchers, which is saying something. The right-hander went 2-1 with a 3.51 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 21 strikeouts in 25 2/3 innings in five starts in his rookie season. He'll be an option for the team's rotation out of spring training next year if he's healthy.
