Mike Smith Starting To Return To Form
6 years agoCalgary Flames goaltender Mike Smith picked up his eighth win of the season in his team's 3-2 victory against the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday. The 36-year-old stopped 22 of 24 shots faced and has looked more like his old self as of late. In fact, Smith is making a case to grab back a higher percentage of his team's starts by winning all three of his most recent starts, posting a 1.33 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage in the process. Considering Smith's ownership in Yahoo! leagues has dipped down to 60% due to his early season struggles (current 3.05 GAA, .886 SVP), fantasy owners will want to monitor his play over the next few weeks. The Ontario might be in line for his team's next start against the Blue Jackets on Tuesday.
