Mike Minor Allows Four Runs, Suffers Seventh Loss
3 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Mike Minor suffered his seventh loss of the year in the team's 6-2 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Monday. He pitched six innings and allowed three hits, three walks and four earned runs while striking out six. Minor had allowed a total of 14 earned runs over his previous two starts, so Monday's outing was at least a step in the right direction. Still, there's not much reason to be inspired by what Minor has done on the mound this year. He has a 5.36 ERA and 1.27 WHIP over 18 starts on the season. He'll make his next start against the Cleveland Indians on Saturday.
