Mike Gesicki Not A Stable Option In Week 5
2 years agoMiami Dolphins tight end Mike Gesicki should be avoided in most fantasy leagues this week. The 27-year-old has amassed just eight catches for 71 yards and a touchdown, and he's at least third in the pecking order behind receivers Tyreek Hill (quadriceps) and Jaylen Waddle (groin). Additionally, Teddy Bridgewater is in line to start for the Dolphins, weakening the overall state and upside of the offense. Of course, if Hill or Waddle miss Sunday's game against the New York Jets, Gesicki's fantasy value will rise. After all, he's a talented player, but the opportunities simply aren't there. For the time being, Gesicki should be viewed as a fringe top-24 tight end in fantasy football.
