Mike Foltynewicz Gets Let Down By Bullpen
6 years agoAtlanta Braves starter Mike Foltynewicz pitched six innings of one-run ball on Wednesday against the Boston Red Sox. He left the game with a 7-1 lead, but the bullpen imploded and gave him a no-decision. While it was unfortunate that Foltynewicz did not end up with the win, it was encouraging to see him bounce back after tossing a stinker in his last outing. He now has a sparkling 2.75 ERA on the season and remains one of the Braves more reliable arms. His next appearance projects to be against the San Francisco Giants which is a decent match-up for the righty. He can be started with moderate confidence.
