Mike Clevinger Good To Go Friday
5 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Mike Clevinger (ankle) is "good to go" to return from the injured list and start against the Orioles on Friday, according to manager Terry Francona. Clevinger sprained his left ankle in his first start back on June 17 after missing over two months with an upper back strain. He'll wind up only missing one turn through the rotation this time around, so his fantasy owners have to be stoked, especially since he's returning to an excellent matchup. The right-hander had thrown 12 scoreless innings through his first two starts and allowed five runs in 4 2/3 innings on 91 pitches in his last start. Clevinger, 28, has high-end starting upside if he can just stay on the mound for the Tribe.
