Mike Brosseau Continues Red-Hot Spring Monday
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers infielder Mike Brosseau continued a red-hot spring on Monday, collecting three hits along with two runs scored and a pair of RBI in a Cactus League contest against the Cincinnati Reds. The 28-year-old is now hitting .474 with four home runs and a 1.776 OPS across 19 spring at-bats to this point. The righty-swinging Brosseau has largely been on the weak end of a platoon in his career and owns a lifetime .209 isolated power and an .823 OPS versus left-handed pitching versus a .149 ISO and .651 OPS against right-handed pitchers. He got into 70 games with the Brewers last season, hitting .255 with six homers and a .762 OPS with 105 of his 160 plate appearances coming against southpaws. Brosseau should see time across the infield in 2023 but doesn't get nearly enough playing time to warrant fantasy consideration as anything more than a potential streaming option in the right matchups.
