Miguel Vargas Headed To The White Sox
4 months agoThe Chicago White Sox acquired infielder/outfielder Miguel Vargas as part of a three-team trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals. Vargas has struggled in his major league career so far, hitting a combined .201 with 14 home runs and 49 RBI over the past three years. This season, the 24-year-old is batting .239 with three HRs and nine RBI across 30 games. While the results haven't been there for Vargas, the White Sox will take a chance on a former top-40 MLB prospect. Despite likely getting everyday playing time in Chicago, he should only be considered in extremely deep fantasy formats. UPDATE: The White Sox acquired second base prospect Jeral Peraz and third baseman Alex Albertus from the Dodgers as part of the three-team trade.
