Miguel Sano Won't Face Charges
6 years agoMinnesota Twins third baseman Miguel Sano will not face criminal charges for his involvement in an accident in the Dominican Republic on Sunday after he hit a police officer and broke his leg. Sano was speaking to an officer after leaving a club and backed his pickup truck up without realizing that the officer hadn't moved his motorcycle behind him. He was detained and questioned before being released. It's good news for a player that was accused last December of sexual assault and who hit just .199 in 71 games for the Twins in 2018. While his stock is on the decline, he's worth a late-round investment for his power in drafts next spring.
