Miguel Sano Heating Up In Minors
6 years agoMinnesota Twins infielder Miguel Sano has been making noise since his demotion to the minors. On June 14, the Twins shocked many by sending Sano — a year removed from an All-Star campaign — all the way down to Class-A Fort Myers. In an effort to fix the mechanics plaguing him and resetting his season, the Twins hoped Sano could start from scratch and try to recapture his power stroke. Thus far, the move seems to be working. Sano has hit to a slash line of .345/.441/.483, and in his most recent game he went 2-for-4 with a home run, so he is showing signs of catching fire. But, fantasy players should take these numbers with a grain of salt. It’s his first homer in 34 trips down in the minors, and it is Class-A after all. That said, those numbers are still a great sign for dynasty owners who have held onto Sano. If he continues this way it will only be a matter of time for a promotion.
