The Minnesota Twins will be placing first baseman Miguel Sano (knee) on the 10-day injured list. Additionally, catcher Jose Godoy will be optioned to Triple-A. This pair of moves will enable the team to trim its roster from 28 players down to 26. Twins manager Rocco Baldelli revealed these intentions to reporters on Sunday evening. Sano has been hampered by left knee soreness. The injury caused him to miss four of the team's last five games. It's been a rough year so far for the 28-year-old slugger, who is slashing just .093/.231/.148 with one home run over 17 games.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
