Miguel Sano Crushes 19th Homer In Blowout Loss
3 years agoMinnesota Twins first/third baseman Miguel Sano went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 11-1 loss to the White Sox. Sano put the Twins on the board in the eighth inning with a towering, 429-foot home run- which left his bat at a whopping 116.7 MPH. The slugger had been in the midst of a slump to start August, but he now has three hits, two homers, and three RBI in his last two games. There's no getting around the strikeouts and low batting average when it comes to Sano, though there are also few hitters who can catch fire at the dish the way he can. Sano will face a tough test on Tuesday, as he is batting just .238 with no homers in 21 career at-bats against lefty Dallas Keuchel.
