6 years agoMinnesota Twins third baseman Miguel Sano (Achilles) started his rehab process on Saturday after he had the boot protecting the laceration on his right lower Achilles removed on Friday. However, the five sutures are still in place that were required to close the wound. The 25-year-old worked to continues his upper-body and cardio work while he was still in a boot. The Twins are being cautious with Sano to avoid the risk of a soft-tissue injury that could delay his return to the field. Marwin Gonzalez should serve as the primary third baseman in Sano's absence, which could last into May. Sano had a dismal season in 2018 and was sent to the minors, but his elite power is worth speculating on in deeper leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
