Miguel Rojas To Begin Baseball Activity
3 years agoMiami Marlins shortstop Miguel Rojas (finger) is set to begin baseball activities today and will field ground balls and hit off a tee. Rojas hasn't played since he was forced to leave a game after sliding back into first base on a pickoff throw and suffering a broken finger. Jazz Chisholm has been filling in at shortstop in the absence of Rojas, but it's created a huge hole at second base (and third base) for the Marlins. Rojas should be able to move from tee work to live batting practice soon if there are no setbacks. He'd likely need a rehab game or two after that before rejoining the Marlins, so a timeline of about two weeks seems safe at this point.
