Miguel Andujar Could Move To First Base
The New York Yankees are experimenting with the idea of using third baseman Miguel Andujar (shoulder) at first base or designated hitter as he recovers from a torn labrum in his right shoulder. Manager Aaron Boone said that Andujar is making progress in his rehab, but said "we're having conversations" about a position change. Andujar was in the running for American League Rookie of the Year in 2018 when he hit .297/.328/.527 with 27 home runs and 92 RBI, so they'll find a spot for him in the lineup if he can't play third base. However, moving him to first would mean that Luke Voit would likely lose playing time.
