Michael Wacha Pitches Very Well on Monday
5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitcher Michael Wacha returned to the starting rotation on Monday and did very well against the Marlins. He picked up a win and a quality start, tossing six scoreless innings, allowing five hits and two walks. He struck out four and needed just 75 pitches. It was Wacha's first scoreless start of six innings or more since June 2018, over a year ago. It's been a struggle for Wacha, who was removed from the starting rotation recently. He'll take a 4-2 record and a 5.63 ERA into his next appearance. It remains to be seen if it will be as a starter or as a reliever.
