Michael Wacha Leaves Rehab Start Early
6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Michael Wacha (oblique) left his rehab start early on Tuesday with Double-A Springfield due to fatigue. He will be re-evaluated on Wednesday after allowing five runs in just 2 1/3 innings pitched (52 pitches). While it could be a plus that Wacha didn't exactly suffer a setback with his oblique injury, it's also not great. The right-hander is running out of time to make a comeback this year, and he's been out since June 20. Those in deeper leagues should probably keep him stashed for now, but those in shallow formats might not have the patience to wait any longer.
