Michael Siani Headed To IL, Victor Scott II Set To Be Recalled
3 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Michael Siani (oblique) is headed to the injured list on Sunday, according to Katie Woo of The Athletic. Woo reports that the Cardinals are expected to promote one of their top prospects, Victor Scott II. Siani left Saturday's game early due to oblique tightness and will now be kept out for at least the next ten games. Scott got a brief 21-game stint in the big leagues earlier this season and struggled as he tallied only five hits, with three of them going for extra bases. However, in the minor leagues, he holds a career .268 AVG with an eye-catching 136 stolen bases. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to the Cardinal lineup over the next few days, as Scott could become the everyday center fielder. If he does, he could be worth a look in category leagues as he possesses elite speed and strong contact skills.
