1 year agoMichael McDowell turned in some very good laps in his Front Row Motorsports Ford. McDowell ended up narrowly missing out on the top five by a whisker. His lap of 89.328 seconds placed him sixth for the start of the Grant Park 220 Sunday evening. McDowell comes off a seventh at Sonoma where he began third. Furthermore, in five of his previous eight road races, the No. 34 driver has finished eighth or better. McDowell may only have one top-five result on road courses but he finds a way to hang around. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
