Michael King Playing Catch On Sunday
3 years agoNew York Yankees pitcher Michael King (finger) was playing catch on Sunday and felt fine, according to Lindsey Adler of The Athletic. King had smashed his right middle finger between some heavy weights at the team's facilities, and was placed on the 10-day injured list on Thursday because of it. Splitting time between the rotation and the bullpen, King has gone 0-4 with a 3.72 ERA, 1.386 WHIP and 22 percent strikeout rate over 48 1/3 innings of work this season. When healthy, he could be a serviceable option in deeper mixed leagues and AL-only formats, although there will likely be better options available on the waiver-wire.
