Michael King On Injured List, Tyler Wade Recalled
3 years agoThe New York Yankees placed right-hander Michael King (finger) on the 10-day injured list on Thursday with a right middle finger contusion and recalled infielder/outfielder Tyler Wade from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in a corresponding move. King has been a swing man for the Yankees the last two years, making 14 appearances (six starts) over 48 1/3 innings in 2021. While he has a decent 3.72 ERA and 1.38 WHIP, he hasn't carried any real fantasy value with zero holds. Wade will provide the Yankees with some much-needed bench depth while Miguel Andujar battles a hand issue. The left-hander has 11 hits in 49 at-bats (.224) with no home runs and four stolen bases. Wade will be a short-term option for depth in deep AL-only leagues, at best.
