Michael Fulmer Throws Bullpen Friday
6 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Michael Fulmer (knee) threw a bullpen session on Friday while wearing a brace to protect his surgically repaired right knee. Fulmer didn't look very comfortable wearing it and is unsure if he will continue to wear it during the season. The soon-to-be 26-year-old went 3-12 with a 4.69 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 7.5 K/9 in 24 starts (132 1/3 innings) for Detroit last year but was hampered by his knee issues for much of the season. With better health, Fulmer could rebound and become a trade candidate for the rebuilding Tigers. He should only be considered a late-round flier in deep mixed leagues and is better left for those in AL-only leagues until he proves he's fully healthy.
