Michael Fulmer Named Opener For Saturday
1 year agoChicago Cubs relief pitcher Michael Fulmer will serve as the opener for Saturday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. The right-hander threw 15 pitches during their victory over the Cards on Friday. That being said, Fulmer will likely only be able to pitch the first inning of Saturday's game. The 30-year-old right-hander holds a 4.43 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 46:21 K:BB through 42.3 innings. This seems like strategy move by the Cubs, but it won't make Fulmer an appealing fantasy option.
