Michael Fulmer Blows Save Against Astros On Saturday

Detroit Tigers relief pitcher Michael Fulmer suffered his second blown save of the year in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Houston Astros. Fulmer entered the game in the sixth inning while the Tigers were up 2-0. He went on to give up three hits and three earned runs in the inning without recording any strikeouts. Yordan Alvarez and Carlos Correa both went yard on him in the inning. Fulmer was tagged with the loss for the game and is now 4-4 on the year with a 4.05 ERA and 1.30 WHIP to go along with his team-leading six saves. This was only the second time he'd given up a run over his last eight outings. He should remain the team's primary closer for now.
