Michael Conforto Smacks Go-Ahead Home Run
5 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto connected on a two-run blast in the sixth inning of Tuesday night's game against the Cleveland Indians as his team ran away with a win. The 26-year-old broke a 2-2 deadlock after the Mets trailed early on. It was his only hit of the night as he also struck out twice. Conforto's blast set the Mets offense off as they scored five more runs, ultimately coasting to a 9-2 series-opening victory. With 27 home runs on the season, he's poised to break his personal single-season record of 28.
