Michael Carter Wraps Up A Disappointing Season
2 years agoNew York Jets running back Michael Carter wrapped up a disappointing season with a disappointing Week 18. He ran the ball three times, gaining just four yards, and added two catches for one yard total. Carter was expected to take over the Jets backfield when Breece Hall (knee) was lost for the season, but instead the Jets running game fell apart with Ty Johnson and undrafted rookie Zonovan Knight soundly outplaying Carter. Carter is likely to return in a backup role behind Breece Hall (knee) next season, but he's seemingly proven that he'll settle into the last spot in the running back room regardless.
