Michael Carter Stepping Into Lead-Back Role In Week 8
2 years agoNew York Jets running back Michael Carter will be stepping into the lead back role in Week 8 after Breece Hall tore his ACL in Week 7 and will miss the remainder of the season. Carter and Hall opened the year as 1a and 1b in the Jets backfield, but Hall quickly took the lead and never looked back until he went down with an injury. The Jets made a trade to acquire James Robinson, and he'll certainly have a growing role as he gets used to his new team, but Carter figures to remain atop the depth chart and will certainly have a large role in Week 8 against the New England Patriots. New England's defense is solid against the run, but the Jets figure to stick with the ground game as they have the past four weeks, making Carter a solid RB2 with a high floor.
