Michael Bunting Exits Saturday's Game With Illness
1 year agoPittsburgh Penguins left wing Michael Bunting was forced to exit Saturday's matchup against Columbus early due to an illness. He played less than 10 minutes and didn't register any counting stats other than a minus-one rating. Bunting has had a decent start at his new club with three goals, four assists, 30 shots, and 15 hits through 12 games. Reilly Smith could move back into the top six if Bunting isn't good to go on Monday versus the Rangers.

Michael Bunting Not Expected To Play This Weekend
4 weeks agoNashville Predators left wing Michael Bunting (abdomen) is viewed as a day-to-day and is not expected to suit up this weekend. Bunting underwent an operation to remove his appendix last week. On Wednesday evening, the Penguins traded Bunting to Nashville in exchange for Thomas Novak and Luke Schenn. Through 58 games this season, Bunting has found the back of the net 14 times and added 15 helpers. Bunting has tallied 15 of his points on the power-play. Before his injury, the 29-year-old was in the midst of a 15-game slump as he tallied just four points over this stretch (one goal). When Bunting makes his Nashville debut, fantasy managers should expect Bunting to compete for a role in the top-six and will likely have a role on their top power-play unit.

Michael Bunting To Be Sidelined Indefinitely
1 month agoPittsburgh Penguins left wing Michael Bunting (abdomen) underwent surgery to remove his appendix and will be sidelined indefinitely. Fantasy managers should expect the 29-year-old to miss a significant amount of time and could even miss the remainder of the regular season. Over his previous 10 contests, Bunting has tallied just two points (both helpers) while holding a -3 rating with 20 shots on goal. However, before this slump, Bunting tallied 11 points (seven goals) over his previous 14 contests. Philip Tomasino could also be given opportunities to play in the top six. Through 58 games this season, Bunting has found the back of the net 14 times and added 15 helpers.
