Vegas Golden Knights forward Michael Amadio will miss Thursday's game against the visiting New York Rangers due to an upper-body injury, according to head coach Bruce Cassidy. Cassidy also noted that the club will call up a forward from the AHL to fill Amadio's spot instead of dressing an extra defenseman. The 27-year-old is in his third season with the Golden Knights and has recorded six goals and 17 points on 58 shots across 42 games. A seven-year NHL veteran, Amadio has skated in 338 career regular-season games, recording 49 goals and 102 points with 409 shots on goal in that time. The Golden Knights sit second in the Pacific Division with a 25-14-5 record, seven points behind the first-place Vancouver Canucks.--Brenton Kemp
