5 years agoThe New York Mets are sending trusted scouts to watch the Triple-A debut of New York Yankees pitching prospect Deivi Garcia on Monday, according to major league sources. Garcia played in the Futures Game last week and is the youngest player at Triple-A at 20 years old. New York has also had talks with the Yankees about starters Noah Syndergaard and Zack Wheeler dating back to last winter. The Yanks won't trade Garcia for a rental like Wheeler, but Thor is a different story. The Mets asking price on Wheeler is high and they are reluctant to trade Syndergaard this year. Garcia may not be much of a fantasy asset the rest of the way and isn't guaranteed a call-up, but he's a fine stash in dynasty/keeper formats with his stock on the rise.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
