Mets And Matt Harvey Avoid Arbitration
7 years agoJerry Crasnick of ESPN.com reports that the New York Mets and starting pitcher Matt Harvey have agreed to a one-year, $5.625 million contract. It will be a raise for Harvey despite coming off a rough season. This past year in 19 games (18 starts), he posted a 6.70 ERA. Injuries have gotten the best of Harvey, who was once on the path to becoming one of the better pitchers in the league. He can be avoided in most leagues but is someone who is always worth monitoring due to his potential. Harvey will reach free agency following the 2018 campaign.
