Mets Acquire J.D. Davis
6 years agoThe New York Mets acquired infielder J.D. Davis and minor league infielder Cody Bohanek from the Houston Astros on Sunday in exchange for minor league outfielder Ross Adolph, infielder Luis Santana and catcher Scott Manea. Davis was a third-round pick in 2014 and hit just .175 with a home run in 103 at-bats in 2018. However, he hit .342 with 17 long balls at Triple-A Fresno and has been a beast with the bat in his minor league career. Davis hasn't done much in the big leagues yet but also hasn't had much of an opportunity. He has a much better shot at regular playing time in 2019 with the Mets, but it's no guarantee. The other players involved in the deal will merely be minor league depth.
