Melvin Gordon III To Remain Starting Back
2 years agoDenver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III will remain the starter, according to general manager George Paton. The organization acquired running back Chase Edmonds at the trade deadline, making it a bit uncertain whether or not Gordon would remain the starter in Denver moving forward. It appears he will, and Edmonds and Latavius Murray will be mixed in as the backups. The addition of Edmonds shouldn't hurt the value of Gordon too much, but it won't help it, either. He should remain rostered because he's still likely going to get the most touches out of everyone in this backfield. However, none of them have great upside in a three-back committee.
