3 years agoLos Angeles Angels catcher Max Stassi left Monday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays after being hit by a pitch on his left forearm. The 30-year-old took a 95 mph fastball from Blue Jays starting pitcher Alek Manoah in the sixth inning and was replaced by Angels catcher Kurt Suzuki. The Halo backstop has been a source of solid production, posting 10 homers, 25 RBI, 32 runs, and a .289/.368/.500 line over 180 at-bats. Stassi will surely undergo x-rays and additional testing to determine the severity of his injury.--Patrick Doris
