Max Scherzer Solid on the Mound Friday
6 years agoWashington Nationals right-hander Max Scherzer threw another quality start on Friday night against the Chicago Cubs. Scherzer went six innings, allowing three runs on six hits to go along with eight strikeouts. He also walked four. The ace was hit with the loss, however, and his record now sits at a disappointing 2-5 on the season. Scherzer hasn't been his dominant self this season, but his underlying numbers are still elite. Stick with the right-hander, it's only a matter of time before he breaks out. Scherzer will face the New York Mets in his next start.
