Max Scherzer Settles Down To Pick Up First Win As A Ranger
1 year agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Max Scherzer showcased his resilience by bouncing back after a challenging three-run first inning to dominate the White Sox for the following five frames in his debut with the Rangers on Thursday. In that initial inning, Scherzer conceded three soft base hits, but he also contributed to the issue by walking two batters, one of whom was Yasmani Grandal, with the bases loaded. However, once he moved past the first frame, the right-hander settled in and encountered no further difficulties. Fortunately, the Rangers offense provided ample support for him. The 39-year-old struck out nine batters and now has a 10-4 record and an ERA of 4.04 in 2023.
